Sammamish High School

Partnering on another school project with Spee West Construction, Sammamish High School was nearly a complete rebuild of the existing high school that shared the same foot print. With 320,000 square feet of new construction, it is one of the larger high schools in the state. The project was multi-phased and spread the work out over a 4-year period from 2014 through 2018 all while the existing school operated around the construction site. The school boasts some of the most modern construction techniques in both structural and architectural assemblies and is also home to one of the only high school glass blowing studios in the state of Washington. With a final subcontract value of over $3.5 million dollars, GK Knutson worked nearly 35,000 hours on the project and installed all the metal framing and drywall. We were happy to team up with the Bellevue School District on another successful build!
